League season runs from October of a given year through April of the following year.
-
During a standard season from October-April, 6 total events are offered. Events occur once a month with the exception of December.
-
League members will be emailed registration information at least 2 weeks prior to a scheduled event date. Registration will be open for 1 week, late entries will not be accepted.
-
Your League membership for a given season will give you access to register for and participate in any of the offered in-person or virtual events. You are not required to attend a specific number of events during the season, you can participate as your schedule allows.
-
After registering as a League member and receiving your League number you will need to renew your membership on a seasonal basis in order to participate in events offered during that specific season. If your membership lapses, you may renew during the next seasonal renewal period. Seasonal renewals are open during the membership period at the end of August.
-
We offer teams the option to start at 2 different levels, Rookie or Performer. Rookie features courses with 8-14 obstacles while Performer features courses with 12-18 obstacles. Performer courses will also include weave poles, for designate games, and teeter, if participating in Global.
We recommend selecting a level based on what your dog is able to successfully complete during training. If you are not sure what level would be best, your instructor would be happy to discuss your options and make a recommendation.
-
Jump height is based on your dog’s measurement from the top of their shoulders. A dog’s height measurement is taken from the floor to the highest point of the dog’s shoulders, in a perpendicular line. The dog should be standing straight with their head level so as not to skew the measurement.
Once you have measured your dog, refer to Section 8 of the Player’s Handbook to determine what height they are eligible to jump.
-
Yes, you can sign up to participate in different levels in each game as long as you are starting at either the Rookie or Performer level.
Even if you start your dog in the same level for every game, you may complete your qualifying runs for one game and move up to the next level in just that game.
-
You are able to move up to the next level when your dog completes the required number of qualifying runs to earn a title at the current level. Rookie- 4 qualifying runs, Performer- 5 qualifying runs.
Once your dog has completed the minimum number of qualifying runs, you are NOT required to move them up. You can continue to participate at your current level and work towards exceptional titles.
